The Cake Boys are an NYC based, multi-GLAM award nominated collective featuring drag kings, musicians, and alternative queer artists. Since their formation in 2020, the Cake Boys have produced over 80 shows across Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan, including weekly drag shows, open stages, and Takes the Cake, a large-scale 5 week drag king competition with special guest finale judges Murray Hill, Sasha Velour, and Wang Newton. Their work has been featured in Thrillist, Insider, Sidewalkkilla, The New York Times and on an episode of Revry’s “Queens of Kings”. Aside from live performances, the Cake Boys have produced several scripted digital shows, The Cake Night Show, which featured local drag kings and musicians stepping into a world of stop motion and VFX.
